MCP Curriculum
The MCP curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong background in their discipline of choice, and at the same time provide a broader exposure to fundamentals of each of the other core disciplines. This focused interdisciplinary education will be accomplished by incorporating existing core courses from the participating departments, and supplementing with new courses and seminars designed specifically for the MCP student.
In consultation with their advisors, each MCP student will create a program tailored to his or her own interests. Each individualized program will be designed to fulfill the MCP requirements as well as provide students with the preparation necessary for transition into their home department. Students completing this one-year program will be on track to continue their doctoral studies and research in their department of choice.
