Welcome to AirUCI
Atmospheric Integrated Research for
Understanding Chemistry at I
nterfaces

We are a research team based at the University of California, Irvine that focuses on research into chemical reactions at the air/water interface and how they affect the atmosphere.

Funded by the National Science Foundation and headed by Professor Barbara J. Finlayson-Pitts, we began in 2002 as a Collaborative Research in Chemistry (CRC) group.  In September, 2004 we became an Environmental Molecular Sciences Institute (EMSI)

Support from the Chemistry, Atmospheric Sciences, and International Divisions of the National Science Foundation have made this institute and its research possible.
