AirUCI as an ORU
Effective July 1, 2008, AirUCI was accepted as an Organized Research Unit on the campus of the University of California, Irvine. This designation ensures a stable level of campus support for our research institute and provides other institutional benefits. View the UCI article
The scope of our research will expand along with the number of faculty investigators. Faculty partners from three UCI schools will participate in the AirUCI ORU.

To celebrate the rapid formation of our ORU, to provide a first opportunity for the ORU members to meet as a group, and to acknowledge the fantastic support provided but the UCI Vice Chancellor's office, a reception was held on October 6, 2008 at 4:30 pm in Rowland Hall room 386.
The ORU faculty and senior research team met November 12-14, 2008 at UCLA's Lake Arrowhead Conference Center to discuss our goals and projects and establish new collaborations. More information about ORU projects to come!
