Dr. Caldwell brought a token of AirUCI into orbit on the August, 2007 launch of the space shuttle Endeavour — UCI mascot Peter the Anteater holding a flag with the AirUCI logo labeled "First EMSI in Space".    See photos

At this event, she returned Peter the Anteater to AirUCI , handing him to to Professors Finlayson-Pitts and Hemminger, with whom she did her postdoctoral research at UCI.  She then gave a presentation which lasted more than an hour and a half, describing her voyage on Endeavour and answering questions from the audience.  It was a fascinating evening with an overflow crowd, and we thank Tracy for her visit.

More photos from this event will appear here shortly.
