In addition to our clinical development programs focused on cystic fibrosis, Vertex has more than a dozen ongoing research programs aimed at other serious and life-treatening diseases. 

Vertex Intern/Co-op Program

Intern and Co-op assignments are designed for Bachelors, Masters, MBA, or PhD level candidates. The timing and details of the programs include:

  • Summer Internship program (San Diego & Boston): 12 week assignment (end of May/June to Mid-August)
  • Co-op Program (Boston): 6 month assignment over 2 cycles (January-June; or July-December)
  • Professional development workshops and networking events throughout the program
  • Capstone event for students to showcase their Vertex experience and project deliverables 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or advanced degree program if graduating in Spring 2019
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
