Application Deadline:
Water UCI is partnering with local middle schools to host a conservation contest. UCI student volunteers will partner with local middle school science classes to teach students about the California water issues. Volunteers will help students develop water conservation ideas and turn those ideas into presentations to be given at UCI in May 2020. Volunteers for a single day or as many as you like.
Transportation will be provided and there will be a small stipend for student volunteers!
Who: UCI Graduate and Undergraduate Students - Any Major
What: UCI Volunteers will be paired with a middle school science class from Orange County School Districts to help develop conservation ideas with students
When: Select days during Winter and Spring 2020 academic quarters
Where: Middle School classrooms in Orange County
Volunteers will;
- Learn about California drought
- Develop teaching skills
- Gain volunteer experience
How to get involved: Come to our volunteer training day 1/29 from 5 to 6:30pm SBSG 5105, dinner will be provided!
