Rory Waterman, a professor of chemistry at the University of Vermont, has a new postdoctoral position open in his lab focused on applied research relating to the synthesis of phosphines using technology they have discovered. Qualified candidates will have experience with air-sensitive compounds and routine characterization techniques (NMR, IR, MS, etc.). Working with larger scale reactions is a plus but not necessary. The individual would participate in publishable research with additional technology transfer and commercialization opportunities, if the work is successful.

He is looking to have the position filled by the year's end.
