Welcome!

We are an inorganic chemistry group in the Department of Chemistry at UC Irvine. Our primary interests are the synthesis, reactivity, and physical studies of transition-metal complexes with novel redox-active ligands. We believe that such complexes provide a unique strategy for multi-electron small molecule activation reactions with application to the biggest challenges in chemistry such as C-H bond functionalization, N2 and CO2 reduction, and the conversion of solar energy into chemical energy (artificial photosynthesis).
