Postdoctoral Position Available in Single Molecule Nonlinear Microscopy

An interdisciplinary group of seven faculty at the University of California, Irvine seeks a postdoctoral scientist.

Our research focuses on the development of ultrafast microscopy in combination with scanning force microscopy to explore the ultrafast behavior of single molecules. This collaborative project is directed by professors Eric Potma (Chemistry), Ara Apkarian (Chemistry), and Philip Collins (Physics).


The Candidate must have a strong background in ultrafast spectroscopy/microscopy and extensive hands-on experience with femtosecond lasers. The candidate must also possess the ambition to learn more about areas in which they have less expertise. Position is available at the postdoctoral level with room for promotion to research scientist and staff member. The initial appointment is for one year, and is renewable upon mutual consent.
