Opportunity for HS Teachers

Summer Research Opportunity for High School Teachers 2018

Two positions are available for high school chemistry teachers to participate in an NSF-funded summer research program in Dr. Craig Murray's laboratory.  The program will provide an opportunity for teachers to spend four weeks participating hands-on in an active research laboratory and subsequently bring their students to UCI for tours and talks.  For more information see here.

Grads win at UC symposium

Grads Thammavongsy, Ellis, and Nguyen honored at UC symposium

Grads Zachary Thammavongsy (Yang group) received the Social Media Award, Bryan Ellis (Vanderwal group) awarded best talk in organic session, and Sean Nguyen (Prescher group) won best talk in Chemical Biology at the UC Chemistry Symposium.

Ogata wins UCI Grad Slam

Alana Ogata heads to the systemwide Grad Slam competition.

Grad Alana Ogata (Penner lab) is the winner of UCI’s GradSlam finals and will be representing the GradEaters at the campus-wide competition to face-off against other UC scholars in May.  Visit UCOP for an updated list of all systemwide finalists who will be competing for the grand prize.  

Jenny wins Sloan

Jenny Yang awarded a 2018 Sloan Research Fellowship.
