In two recent JACS publications, the Jarvo laboratory describes cross-coupling reactions of ethers with arylboronic ester and dialkylzinc reagents.

These methods expand the scope of such reactions to include functional-group tolerant transmetallating agents, as is required for complex molecule synthesis.
