GPS-STEM is thrilled to announce 6th offering of the annual Elevator Pitch workshop (2020). The workshop will help trainees in distilling down  complex research by answering, "Tell me about yourself?"

Format: The 2-minute pitch can range from, scientific research, outreach work, motivations, or anything which gets you going.

Why Elevator Pitch?:

• Elevator pitch is extremely useful for networking events (academic confrefences, industry nights), interviews, pitching research to policymakers, engaging community members in research. And most importantly, Thanksgiving dinner chats
• UC-wide Grad Slam. In the past, many of the UCI Grad Slam participants, and winners have gone through the GPS-STEM elevator pitch workshops and competitions. Based on the timelines of both the events, pitch workshops and competition help prepare trainees to be comfortable and competitive for Grad Slam
