The Graduate InterConnect Program is looking to have another large cohort of ~60 experienced graduate students to support the transition for our newest international graduate students for fall 2021. GIC Peer Mentors will have the opportunity to develop and practice mentoring skill sets and professional competencies that will serve them for future opportunities at UCI and beyond. In the role, they will mentor across disciplines to help foster a more inclusive and interdisciplinary community. We are seeking graduate students who have a strong interest and passion for helping other students succeed.

All meetings and events will be virtual at this time. We had a successful 2020 with a quick pivot and was able to provide the support virtually to our newest international students who have been impacted by COVID-19. We recognized the need for engagement and community more than ever during these times for our students. 

Students in self-supporting programs are also eligible and encouraged to apply.
