The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) is pleased to announce the Call for Fall Proposals! UCI undergraduates from all disciplines who are conducting research or creative projects under the guidance of UCI faculty are encouraged to apply for recognition and funding by November 17, 2021.

All UCI Undergraduate students are encouraged to explore faculty-mentored research and apply for recognition and/or funding by submitting a proposal.  Students may apply for an honorary award or request funding to support their research. Funded awards are intended to be used for project supplies and expenses and typically range from $250-$1,000 per individual project, with higher amounts of up to $2,500 available for group projects. These awards are for research being carried out for up to one year (Fall 2021 through Summer 2022).

 All undergraduate students are encouraged to attend a UROP Workshop to learn more:

• The Get Involved in Research Workshop is the first step to learn how to get started in research or creative projects on campus and is offered multiple times throughout Fall quarter. The next workshop is on Thursday, November 4 from 2:00 – 3:30 pm on Zoom.
• The UROP Proposal Writing and Submission Workshop provides valuable information on how to write and submit a research proposal. We will also discuss how UROP Advisors can assist you through the Call for Proposals process. This workshop is offered on Tuesday, November 2, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm on Zoom, and on Wednesday, November 3, 2:00 – 3:30 pm in person (space is limited)
