Janssen is now accepting applications for the inaugural Janssen Discovery Chemistry Graduate Research Symposium, which will be held June 8 – 9, 2022 at the Janssen Research & Development campus in Spring House, PA. This 1.5 day event will recognize exceptional graduate students and showcase career opportunities within Janssen Discovery Chemistry teams.

Selected students will have the opportunity to present their work in a poster session and network with Janssen researchers. In addition, the participants will be invited to listen to presentations from Discovery Chemistry and Discovery Process Research colleagues, tour our research facilities, and hear a keynote lecture from a prominent academic speaker. All travel expenses for the participants will be covered. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

Eligible doctoral students must be in their 3rd or 4th year of graduate school (at a U.S. institution) with a primary research area in organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, catalysis, chemical biology, or computational chemistry.

Interested students are encouraged to apply by submitting their CV (2 pages max) and Research Summary (2 pages max) as a single PDF document by January 15, 2022. Please submit application materials and inquiries to JanssenDiscoveryChemGRS@its.jnj.com.

Selected graduate student finalists will be contacted by the committee in late January 2022 and asked to submit a Letter of Recommendation from their faculty research advisor. The final cohort of awardees will be notified in February 2022.
