Maik Bollhorn brings nearly four decades of master-level scientific glassblowing and precision quartz fabrication experience to the department. Founder of Glas Werk Inc., Maik manages and operates the campus glass shop on-site two days a week, providing direct fabrication, repair, and technical scoping services for the university's research community. He specializes in advanced lathe work, high-vacuum system seals, and technical design consulting, working side-by-side with researchers to engineer highly specialized, custom glassware.
