The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry beginning August 1, 2024.
Candidates are invited to submit applications to join the Chemistry and Physics Department within the College of Sciences and Mathematics (CSM) at Belmont University. Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate science courses offered by the Department of Chemistry and Physics. This position will teach introductory chemistry courses for majors and non-majors, courses within the general education curriculum (BELL Core), and methods courses offered by the College of Education (EDU). Additional teaching may include upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise that support and complement current offerings in Chemistry and Physics, as well as Education. A full-time teaching load is 24 hours per academic year. The successful candidate will also develop a robust undergraduate research program that complements and expands current research offerings. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and departmental, college, and university service.
