Amy Ricks serves as Chief Administrative Officer for the Department, providing executive leadership for its administrative, financial, operational, and strategic functions, including oversight of the department’s research facilities and core operations. Together with the Department Chair, Amy provides executive leadership for all aspects of the department, directing its teams, financial resources, research and administrative infrastructure, and long-term priorities in support of excellence in education, research, and service. An experienced higher education leader with nearly two decades in academic administration, Amy brings extensive expertise in financial management, organizational leadership, strategic planning, and complex academic operations. Her leadership has been recognized with UCI’s Lauds & Laurels Outstanding Staff Achievement Award, and she is active in leadership and mentorship initiatives across UCI and the UC system, with a particular commitment to developing staff and strengthening organizations.
