Felix Grün, PhD serves as Director of the Mass Spectrometry Facility, a shared open-access research resource that houses 20 instruments and supports more than 250 students and postdoctoral researchers from over 80 principal investigator groups across campus. He oversees all aspects of facility operations, including user training, project consultation, instrument access, and resource management, ensuring reliable and effective support for a diverse range of research programs. Dr. Grün joined UCI in 1999 with a multidisciplinary research background spanning biochemistry, immunology and environmental toxicology. His research has contributed significantly to the understanding of endocrine-disrupting chemicals and obesogens. He has played an active role in advancing research infrastructure and has served as Director of the Mass Spectrometry Facility since 2017.
