Tobias group simulations help reveal the allosteric mechanism of water-channel gating by Ca++-calmodulin

In the September issue of Nature Structural and Molecular Biology
the Tobias group, the Hall lab at UCI, and the Gonen lab at the
Janelia Farm Research Campus report a combined experimental and
computational study that elucidates the mechanism of calcium regulation
of water conduction by the membrane protein channel aquaporin 0.
