The Ardo Group recently published three important review articles on the state-of-the-art in solar-driven water splitting research and development. Prof. Ardo organized a special issue in the journal Energy & Environmental Science which contained five authoritative reviews on solar hydrogen production based on efforts from the Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Working Group organized by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The Ardo Group's contributions included two review papers: one on particle-based reactors for solar water splitting and the other on experimental demonstrations of solar water splitting using photoelectrodes. This past week, the group published another review paper in collaboration with the Joint Center of Artificial Photosynthesis, the U.S. DOE Energy Innovation Hub on Solar Fuels.
