In a paper featured on a cover of PCCP, Hinks et al. demonstrated that low temperatures and low humidity increase viscosity of atmospheric particles and slow down photodegradation of toxic pollutants trapped in particles. The study was a collaboration between team of researchers from the University of California at Irvine, the University of British Columbia, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
