"Reducing CO2 with Sc(II):  Graduate students David Woen and Guo Chen from the Evans and Furche groups discover and characterize the first crystallographically-characterized example of a complex of scandium in the +2 oxidation state and find it forms an isolable complex of the (CO2)- radical anion.  The paper was accorded VIP status in Angewandte Chemie."
