Shane Ardo is leading a team of faculty from seven universities that received a Cottrell Scholars Collaborative award from the Research Corporation last Fall. Their project is entitled “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Age of COVID-19: A New STEM Pipeline Model that Grows Undergraduate Research at Minority-Serving Institutions via Collaboration, Personnel Exchange and Offline Training.” The goal of this award is to increase underrepresented minority participation in STEM fields by developing a new pipeline model that combines high-quality collaborative research with research exchanges, available to first year undergraduates at historically Black or Hispanic-serving colleges and universities.
